History

VPÚ was founded in 1952 in Prague as Military Design Institute.

The branch in Bratislava was founded in 1958.

The VPÚ logo was developed in the early years. We are proud to use this logo for over 50 years as Registered Trademark.

Until 1989 VPÚ designed many buildings all over former Czechoslovakia. Many of these buildings have became essential part of their environment.

 After the changes in 1989 ( "velvet revolution" ), VPÚ has transformed into joint stock company (a.s.) in 1992, and in 1995 into private joint stock company.

Currently we are in business as VPÚ DECO Bratislava a.s.   (Designing, Engineering and Consulting Organisation)
